Helambu village trek (6 days)

The trek is easy and provides the spectacular views of the mountains- Langtang (7245m), Ganesh Himal (7405m), Dorje Lhakpa (6990m) and other small mountains. The warm and friendly people of Helambu are mostly Buddhists and from the Sherpas of Solukhumbu to their language, culture and traditional dress. It is an ideal trip for those who have a short time and like to combine both cultural scenes and view of mountains range. You will enjoy visiting the culturally rich Tamang villages, Buddhist Gompas and the fantastic landscape.
Your trekking preparation:
This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.
We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable. Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however things can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to make during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself.
While the trek is designed for teahouse arrangement, our professional mountain guide and porters handle everything. The meal will be provided in the available restaurant enroute and accommodations in the available lodges (with most of the days hot/cold shower) enroute.
Day to day itinerary:
Day 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani -(approximate 5-6 hours) and Over night at Lodge
Day 02 Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang (approximate 6-7 Hours) and Over night at Lodge
Day 03 Trek from Kutumsang Tharepati (Approximate 4-5 Hours) and Over night at Lodge
Day 04 Trek from Tharepati to Tarkeghyang (approximate 5-6 Hours) and Over night at Lodge
Day 05 Trek from Tarkeghyang to Talamarang (Approxmate 6-7 hours) and Over night at Lodge
Day 06 Trek from Talamarang to Melamchi pool Bazzar (approx. 4 hr) and same day drive back to Kathmandu by Bus

The cost includes the following services:
  • Airport transfers
  • Entry permits to Shivapuri Wildlife reserved area
  • Supporting staffs (trekking guide and porters), as well as their necessary insurance, meals and allowances
  • 3 meals per day and overnight accommodation in guesthouses/restaurants along the trail
  • Ground transportation (Kathmandu-Sundarijal and Melamchi-Kathmandu) by Transport.
Cost does not include:
  • Accommodation and meals in Kathmandu
  • Kathmandu airport departure tax
